	Outdoor Photography Contest at Abilympics 2000 in Prague


I participiated at the occupational skill contest Outdoor Photography at the Abilympics 2000 in Prague and won gold.

	Result-table of the contest

		The Task The task was to take photographs in the area of the fairgrounds where the workshops of the Abilympics were accommodated. The competitors could choose the thematic object like portraits, architecture etc. of their photographs by theirselfs. It was not allowed to photograph inside of buildings. The jury gave a 135 colour negative film to you as material. The competitors had eight hours to shoot photographs. After that time they had two ways to gave their work for evaluation to the jury. The first was to select 2-4 pictures of one topic (thema) of the film that got developed and the second was to select only one picture of your photographs. The jury helped to choose the photos by giving you 9x13cm prints of your film. After selection the jury printed 8x12 inch positives of your selected photos for better evaluation. The participants have to gave a meaningful title to their serie or photographs. The competitors could use any kind of small format camera systems, lenses and other accessoirs like filters, flash and tripod.

Evaluation Criteria of the Contest:

The criteria to be taken into consideration are especially the originality level of the series and its homogeneity, composition and using its rules and the work with light as a device of expression.
Regardless of the fact whether the series in journalistic (a report) or artistic, it is important whether the final snap (series) is homogeneous and whether it expresses the author's message.
Purity of composition will also be taken into consideration.
The snapshot should be devoid of any disturbing elements, misleading for the viewer's attention.
